Embarking upon an adventurous desire to combine traditional Latin flavor with modern rhythms, Rudy Rincon and his Grupo KaChe have taken their dream to greater heights, by embracing their heritage and sharing the spirit of a sound that has been passed from generation to generation.  

Rudy Rincon founded Grupo KaChe in November of ’96, this group has not only captured the heart and soul of Latin music within the Houston area, but they have begun to spread their magic nationwide.  

“We haven’t just had the honor of being named ‘Best Latin Band,’ by the Houston Chronicle, but we have also been asked to perform in various cities outside the Texas state such as New Orleans, South Beach Miami, Colorado Springs, Philadelphia, New York City and Las Vegas,” Rudy commented.  

Rudy and Grupo KaChe have been featured in several local festivals such as the Houston International Festival, Festival de la Salsa, and The PRC (PuertoRican and Cuban) Festival among others. Also, they are a regular act every year on entertainment seasons series and local social events such as the Mixers & Elixirs at The Museum of Natural Science, Party on The Plaza and Dancing Under The Stars at the CityCenter. They have had the esteemed pleasure of being selected the accompany band of well-known romantic Salsa singers such as Eddy Santiago, Maelo Ruiz, Jose Alberto El Canario, Cuco Valoe, Hector Tricoche, Rey Ruiz, Jerry Rivera, among others. They had  the occasion of being the opening acts for local concerts such as Marc Anthony, Elvis Crespo, Willie Colon, Carlos Olivia y los Sobrinos del Juez, Grupo Niche, Gilberto SantaRosa, Victor Manuel and the sensational Venezuelan King of Salsa; Oscar D’ Leon.    

Rudy and Grupo KaChe released their first album entitled, “TUYO” in 2001. TUYO is a compilation of salsa, merengue, and Latin Pop that is unquestionably a favorite among latinos and latin music lovers worldwide. Rudy Rincon, also had the pleasure of participating recording two songs for the collaboration album “The Power of Friends” by Avizo, a very well know Tejano Band in the Houston area, along with talented recording artists such as Little Joe, Jay Perez and Agustin Ramirez. This album achieved Grammy Nomination in 2005, given to Rudy Rincon the opportunity to receive his first Grammy recognition.  

Right now Rudy Rincon and his Grupo KaChe are in the process of finishing their new album, counting with the blessing and the participation of musicians and producers from Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba and Puerto Rico, and of course; bringing back again the Old School SABOR of SALSA BRAVA with the quality and the elements of today’s new musical trends.
